At Hill Holliday, Betsey was identified as mission critical in doubling new business including winning Dunkin Donuts, Budget Rent-A-Car, AutoNation USA and Wall Street Journal. Betsey’s direct branding experience during her ad career spans many of the world’s iconic brands including McDonald’s, Proctor & Gamble, S.C. Johnson & Sons, Oldsmobile, Salada Tea, Samsonite, 9 Lives cat food, and Chivas Regal blended scotch whiskey.

Leaders choose to work with Betsey again because she not only brings an intense curiosity to each project and quickly shows that she “gets it,” but she also expresses real compassion for her clients, and truly cares about making their vision of success a reality.

She works in partnership with leaders, keeping pace with their time demands, supporting them with confidence and clarity any time they falter, course correcting a missed step, and working well with people at all levels of an organization.  And she does it all while exuding an upbeat, “we can do it” spirit that soon spreads throughout the project and team.  She keeps everyone focused on the horizon line and ready to tackle whatever obstacle comes their way.

It’s this rare combination of personality, skills and background that sets her apart from other consultants and coaches.

Fueling her trailblazer success is her training in wilderness leadership. In fact, Betsey made a major leap forward in her own leadership development when she took a mid-career hiatus to drive and camp solo across North America and up to Alaska to study with the National Outdoor Leadership School. Betsey is also a graduate of Outward Bound and has been active in both schools’ Advisory Councils. She is also a former advisory council member and board member of Outdoor Explorations.  She has conducted leadership training workshops for the Appalachian Mountain Club and facilitated corporate Outward Bound programs. Betsey credits her wilderness leadership training with deepening her understanding and respect for true leadership effectiveness.

Betsey graduated from Simmons College and completed coursework at Harvard and M.I.T. Her professional training includes workshops in Center for Creative Leadership’s Benchmarks® Certification, Open Space Technology, Newfield Network’s New Language of Leadership, Outward Bound Professional National Facilitator Training, DISC and Myers-Briggs personality profiling.  Betsey lives between two homes in New England with her son.
